The Western Cape has recorded 9 additional deaths bringing the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in the province to 11 646.

As of 1pm on 7 May 2021, the Western Cape has 2 083 active Covid-19 infections, with a total of 287 938 people having been infected with Covid-19 to date and 274 168 recoveries. A total of 68 222 vaccines received to date as part of the Sisonke trial have been administered by 5pm on 6 May 2021.
