The Western Cape Covid-19 death toll has risen to 13 038

The Western Cape’s Covid-19 death toll has risen by a further 123 deaths since Friday.

By Friday afternoon, the province’s death toll stood at 12 915, and has now increased to 13 038.

By 5 p.m., Friday afternoon, more than 497,000 residents, over the age of 60, had already been vaccinated.

Pensioners here, and across the rest of the country, are being vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.

The province’s Covid-19 vaccination rate therefore now stands at 589 022 injections.
