The Department of Employment and Labour says it is investigating a Uniondale NGO, that allegedly defrauded it of close to R5-million in Covid-19 relief funds. The department says the organization claimed for TERS-benefits for 520 of its employees, but that it was established that their employment-contracts were terminated days before the national lockdown came into effect.
