The songstress was accompanied by a stunning piano motif, bringing the heartfelt emotion of the original track to life. Of course. Twain added a bit of country flair at some choice moments.

What am I now? What am I now?
What if I’m someone I don’t want around?
I’m falling again, I’m falling again, I’m falling

This is the third track under Twain’s entry into the Spotify Singles series. This also features a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s Spoonful, and a masterful reworking of her very own track, Queen of Me.

The 57-year-old’s version of the Harry Styles ballad is more stripped back – and raw – than the original version. It showcases her ability to enchant listeners with her emotive voice and deliver powerful performances.

What if I’m down? What if I’m out? What if I’m someone you won’t talk about?I’m falling again, I’m falling again, I’m falling

“The studio is one of my favorite place to be,” Twain tweeted on Wednesday. “I got to spend a couple of days in (Spotify’s) studios to record a live band version of Queen Of Me and two covers,” she added. She ends off the tweet with thanks to the audio streaming company.

“[Recording Falling] was also a tip to Harry Styles as well because he has often done my songs in his shows,” Shania once explained. Styles has also been a huge fan and supporter of Twain. Last April, at Coachella, Harry and Shania performed a duet of her iconic hits Man! I Feel Like A Woman and You’re Still the One.

She revealed during an interview with Stephen Colbert that the two became ‘texting friends’ many years ago, after meeting backstage at a show in New York. Long before Harry blew up, she adds.

“I just fell in love with Falling,” Shania Twain revealed in a statement:

I love Harry Styles anyway and his version of the song really moved me and I wanted to try it on. It came out more emotional than I thought it would and I was very pleased — I can kind of hear my pain in it

Beyond her new Spotify Singles, Shania Twain has a busy year schedule ahead of her. She is set to tour North America until mid-November. “It’s been overwhelming, very positive, and gets me very excited,” she said during an interview with CNBC’s Tania Bryer:

concert…The fun thing about touring is that you go to everyone’s hometowns, and you get to celebrate the music together and sing along…So I’m just looking forward to having a lot of fun. And the new music always brings something really fresh and new for all of us
