President Cyril Rampahosa says South Africa has learned valuable lessons from the covid-19 pandemic, which can now be used to help strengthen the fight against HIV/Aids. He says the country has been fighting HIV/Aids for the past 3 decades, which has cost many lives and caused great hard-ship and suffering. Ramaphosa says, since the start of the covid-19 pandemic, many HIV, Aids and tuberculosis services have suffered, due to the pressure on the health-care systems.
