The province has recorded a 39% increase in new cases, week-on-week, which is officially a resurgence. Winde and Dr Cloete have reiterated that behaviour change is key to mitigate the onset of a third wave. Winde says it’s about taking responsibility. The provincial health department also noted the increase in cases were concentrated in more affluent suburbs.
