Protestors calling for the release of former president Jacob Zuma started with violent protests on Friday, which spilt over to Gauteng over the week. It’s being reported that a considerable number of shops and establishments in Durban were looted over the weekend. More trucks were also burnt out this morning. Meanwhile, the Zondo Commission has filed papers at the Constitutional Court asking it to dismiss, with costs, former president Jacob Zuma’s rescission application. The apex court is expected to hear Zuma’s application today.
