The Top ranked side …..INDIA, also known as the Men In Blue.
India have little to no competition when it comes to scoring 100’s. With a team tally of 90, a whopping 41 of those belonging to captain Virat Kohli. His mammoth innings stats will certainly be of concern to their opponents in this year’s tournament.
The Indian cricket team has won the world cup twice. Winning the 1983 World Cup, they also triumphed over Sri Lanka in 2011 on home soil. They were runners-up at the 2003 World Cup, and semifinalists on three occasions – in 1987, 1996 and 2015.
Although India could not successfully defend their World Cup title in 2011, several positives emerged from the tournament. For the first time ever in a Cricket World Cup, they finished the Group stage unbeaten.
Traditionally much stronger at home than abroad, the Indian team has improved its overseas form, especially in limited-overs cricket, which makes them a force to be reckoned with this year.
