If you are just as excited as me for some warmer weather and Spring outfits I’ve got you covered with five Spring 2022 wardrobe trends. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of buying a whole new wardrobe for each season. I mean if that fits your budget, please feel free to go shop till you drop to get your wardrobe Spring ready. However, if you’re like me and sometimes still need to be very aware of how you spend your money, do not despair, these tips will enable you to make a few changes and experience massive differences. Remember thrifting is always a very handy and sustainable option.
1. This Spring more truly is more
If you’re one of those people who always felt that your state in fashion is too bold for the rest of the world to handle, you’ll love this one. Spring 2022 promises bold upon bold!
Zebra and tie-dye are only two of the ways you can incorporate some flair to your Spring wardrobe. When in doubt, add another colour or pattern!
2. Colour-Block pieces are so in right now
My mother always told me that there are certain colours that just don’t go together. In 2022, that couldn’t be further from the truth. You do you, boo! When it comes to your wardrobe this Spring when in doubt buy the bolder colour jacket or bomber!
3. If it’s torn, keep it!
Latticed knitwear has always been seen as only for those who have the figure or are serious stage performers. But it’s 2022 and the world is your stage! These latticed outfits are just warm enough for spring and cool enough for Western Cape’s hotter weather. If you’re not keen on buy something that’s torn, tear your own, and don’t ever let money stop you from channeling your inner fashionista.
4. Super-duper short skirts
This is arguably one of the most talked about trends of 2022 and what better weather to test it out than in your Spring 2022 wardrobe? The trending term is – micro-mini skirt. Nicole Kidman, Saweetie, and Hailey Bieber are amongst the celebrities who made these skirts trendy. If you haven’t noticed The Year 2000 (Y2K) is making its way back with a bang in terms of fashion. Personally, I am grateful for that because it means I can just go back and wear some statement items again! Fashion repeats its self. If you still have your school sock, even better!
5. Low rise jeans are back this Spring
I’m not too sure if this is something I would incorporate in my Spring 2022 wardobe. It took me long enough to get comfortable in high waist jeans, now you’re telling me I need to go back to low-rise… Maybe it’s worth a try.
Like anything in our modern society, Spring 2022 will be the season of statement making! The bolder the better! The bigger conversation starter the better!
