FROM HUMBLE GARDEN TO THRIVING TOWNSHIP MARKET

Published on

A local township garden project, launched in 2015, has now been developed into a sustainable garden market. The Moya We Khaya Community Garden garden, located near the Manyanani Peace Park, in Khayelitsha was founded by Christina Kaba to help the community grow and provide healthy and organic vegetables to its residents. The garden has become a real sustainable initiative for its residents, that they recently launched the Moya Organic Garden Market aimed at uplifting the lives of many local farmers.  The Project Partner for Moya We Khaya, Lungi Zondi, says the project is self-sustainable and will have a positive impact on the high unemployment rate in the community.
