Cele deploys 197 additional police officers in crime-ridden CT neighborhoods

Police Minister, Bheki Cele has warned criminals in the Western Cape to tread lightly, saying all those who make themselves guilty of disobeying the law, would be dealt with decisively.

Cele was in the Mother City yesterday to deploy an additional 197 police-officers, who will now be tasked to assist local police fight crime in hot-spots in the Khayelitsa, Delft, Kraaifontein, Nyanga, Harare and Phillips East.

Cele says the ability of Cape Town police, to fight violent and gang-related crimes, have now been markedly boosted.
