Africa’s largest cannabis event — The Cannabis Expo — makes its return to Cape Town from 22 – 25 March 2024.

For the first time since the event debuted in the Mother City in 2019, it will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. More than 150 exhibitors will be displaying a range of products. The event was traditionally held at the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World.

Director and co-founder Silas Howarth says he’s expecting between 15 000 – 20 000 visitors to flock to the CTICC.

“The Cannabis Expo is the most important and the largest cannabis event on the African continent. There are over 150 exhibitors, showcasing over 1 000 cannabis products and services, literally from all over the world.”

The annual marijuana-related event is held across the country, in Cape Town, Pretoria and Durban.

Howarth says the Mother City’s expo is by far the largest and his favourite of all.

“Since we launched the Cannabis Expo and came to Cape Town, Cape Town has consistently been one of our biggest expos year on year. It just goes to show there is a huge cannabis community in Cape Town. There are a lot of people interested in cannabis in Cape Town.”
