Published on

The 2023 Rugby World Cup is mere hours away, and the big question everyone’s asking is, who will win the tournament?

Siya Kolisi & the national question

10 points for patriotism if you said Siya Kolisi and RugbyVision, an algorithm created by Niven Winchester, a New Zealand academic named has entered the chat and predicted that the All Blacks will be hoisting the Webb-Ellis trophy for a record 4th time on the 29 October!

Before you start asking it about lotto numbers or whether you’ll meet the love of your life this weekend, RugbyVision isn’t predicting the future, but using data to make predictions.

The RugbyVision algorithm considers important factors like team ratings, expected results, and 10,000 simulations to deal with the uncertainty in sports.

It looks at team performance, recent form, player ratings, historical data, and other relevant factors to make predictions.
