South Africa’s national under 13 Futsal Team will represent the country at the 2019 C13 Futsal World Cup, in Spain, starting Monday 28 October. Nine boys from across the country, and six of them belonging to the local Tygerberg Futsal League, arrived save and sound in Barcelona for the tournament. The boys will represent South Africa for the first time at this international showpiece.

The President of Tygerberg Futsal League Joshua Jansen van Rensburg, says the entire team wants to thank Smile 90.4 fm and everyone for their incredible support during the build up campaign, ahead of the tournament. 

“It was an incredible few weeks with regards to getting the boys ready for this once in a lifetime opportunity. From fundraising, logistics and shorting out their passports, we managed to get it done just in time. Smile 90.4 fm played a crucial role with sharing the team’s progress, and for that we are truly grateful. “
