There’s been another big bust in the Western Cape. This time, Southern Cape Police confiscated drugs with an estimated street value of R2,1 million, in Thembalethu, George.
Sergeant Christopher Spies says officers affiliated to the Outeniqua K9-Unit received information about illicit drug activities at a house. They then proceeded to raid the mentioned house in Zone 8 yesterday.

When police members arrived on the scene, they found that the premises had been left abandoned. They confiscated 36 550 mandrax tablets, 300-gram heroin and 532-gram tik.
Spies added, “The illicit drug trade in the Western Cape was dealt a heavy blow when police confiscated in George.”

“These confiscations are in line with the policing approach of this province to eradicate the illicit drug trade,” Spies added.
