‘Trash’, Gauteng teacher removed after heated altercation with grandparent

A Gauteng teacher has been removed from Fred Norman Secondary School following an altercation with a pupil’s grandparent. This follows a viral video where the teacher is heard calling the grandmother ‘trash’ and stating that she does ‘not like coloured people’. As the altercation escalated, pupils can be seen intervening. The Gauteng Department of Education says an investigation has been launched.
