Gupta-fixer appears in court

The Investigating Directorate says Kuben Moodley, who has been accused of being a fixer for the Gupta family, appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialized Commercial Crimes Court earlier today.

Moodley was arrested at the OR Tambo International Airport last night, as he was about to catch a flight to Dubai.

He was arrested on charges of money laundering relating to contracts improperly awarded by Transnet to Regiments and Trillian.

He also faces charges of alleged theft of funds from the Transnet Second Defined Benefit Fund.
