Sinovac kicks off Covid-19 vaccine study among South African children

Sinovac started the roll-out of its covid-19 vaccine study among South African children earlier today.

Two 17-year olds, were the first to be injected with the vaccine at the Sefako Makgatho University in GaRankuwa.

The study will be conducted among 2,000 South African children, between the ages of 6 months and 17 years.

Participants will receive two doses of the vaccines, or a placebo, 28 days apart.

The vaccine has already been administered to about 40-million children aged between three and 17 in China.
