President Cyril Ramaphosa to address the nation soon on Covid-19 restrictions

Government will consult with political parties and the religious sector, in the coming days, on possible amendments to the Covid-19 lockdown regulations.

Today, President Cyril Ramaphosa chaired meetings with the National Coronavirus Command Council and the President’s Coordinating Council to deliberate the way forward in the country’s response to the pandemic.

Following discussions with political parties and religious leaders, Ramaphosa will address the nation to announce a possible relaxation of the measures.

No date has been given for this address.
