Zuma, who is currently serving a 15-month prison sentence, has undergone a surgical procedure on Saturday, “with other procedures scheduled for the coming days”.

Meanwhile, the death of Johan van der Walt, a top auditor and author of the forensic report that forms the basis of Zuma’s upcoming corruption trial, should not lead to delays. So says the National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Mthunzi Mhaga, following Van der Walt’s death on Saturday.
