The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority says the benefit of Covid-19 vaccines to society still far outweighs any potential risks. This as local health experts and government officials meet to get to the bottom of reports of extremely rare blood clots in America, following the administration of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. SAPHRA’s chairperson, professor Helen Rees says 6 reports of blood clots after over 6 million people in the US were inoculated, points to a very low risk.
