The co-chair of the Covid-19 Ministerial Advisory Committee, Prof. Salim Abdool Karim, says if South Africa can vaccinate its healthcare workers and vulnerable groups by the end of this year, it will be a significant achievement, which will reduce pressure on the health system. Karim says vaccinating key population groups this year is the top priorirty.
