Cape Town emergency rescue services say 16 people were injured in the car accident reported on the N1 near Paarl earlier this morning.
The minibus taxi overturned at the Van Riebeeck turn-off, in Paarl, while traveling towards Cape Town.
EMS spokesperson Deanna February says four people sustained serious injuries.
All 16 injured passenger were hospitalised.
